Mark Zuckerberg and You
APRIL 11, 2018
Mark Zuckerberg will spend his second day of his congressional testimony fielding questions as to what happened in their relationship with Cambridge Analytica and the data breach that affected close to 87 million of their users. Regardless of how you feel about it, it’s an issue that is becoming more complex to have an easy answer to.
Everyday no matter how I commute from Long Island to New York City, I continue to see the worlds fascination with smartphones when I look around. There’s an urge to check to see if your pictures have been liked, if you’ve received a message from an old or new friend, what’s new in your feed, or to check your email. Your digital life is now the lead factor for how we communicate, think and act.
In any street, in any major town or city the internet now effects every aspect of our lives. Our work and home lives are more blended than ever, and if you step back for a moment and think about the amount of intelligence that exists online about each of us in our digital footprint, it doesn’t tend to cross your mind because it’s not something you can see everyday.
The internet was designed to be open, it was designed to share.
What if that intelligence was in the wrong hands? What is the value of that intelligence to them?
Every day our SkOUTs bring Secure Intelligence to our clients and the responsibility to do the right thing with that is something we take really seriously.
As a company we cannot be a bystander and we must make the world a better place to live and work. Secure Intelligence is our way to do that.
Let’s see what we can do together today to make the world better.
Love to hear your thoughts.
